Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Vertex Configuration & Integration Consultant with deep experience in end-to-end Vertex-SAP integration and tax engine configurations. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in SAP FICO, tax procedures, and technical-functional documentation with the ability to work independently and lead initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand client business requirements and translate them into effective Vertex and SAP-based solutions.
• Prepare Technical Design Documents (TDD) and Unit Test Plans for implemented solutions.
• Lead or contribute to end-to-end Vertex integration with SAP , ensuring accurate tax configuration and reporting.
• Perform SAP and Vertex configuration, troubleshooting, and testing activities.
• Configure and manage Vertex components such as:
  • Tax Product Categories (TPC)
  • Tax Product Drivers (TPD)
  • Tax Assist Rules
• Handle both Output and Input Tax scenarios in SAP Vertex.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver custom or standard tax solutions.
• Leverage strong expertise in SAP FICO including:
  • P2P, OTC, AP, AR, GL, and Controlling
  • Month/Year-end closing activities
• Work on interfaces including ALE , EDI IDoc , and RFC .
• Support development of custom objects and collaborate on functional design, estimations, UT/SIT execution, and table-level understanding in FI/CO areas.
• Provide solutions around VAT determination , Withholding Tax , and global/country-specific tax compliance.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven experience in SAP-Vertex integration and configuration.
• Strong understanding of global and country-specific tax procedures .
• Deep knowledge of Vertex tax engine components and configurations.
• Strong SAP FICO process knowledge and related integration with MM, SD, and FI modules.
• Ability to lead or collaborate effectively with cross-functional and technical teams.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with SAP Activate or Agile methodologies.
• Prior client-facing consulting experience in tax transformation or ERP financial projects.
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior consultants as needed.
